Wood Subfloor Prep: Trace the factory carpet onto 0.5" plywood and cut the sheets to shape. Test fit completed.
Furring Installation: Cut 1x2 furring strips to size. Glue 1x2 furring strips to floor valleys with PL Premium; lay the pre-cut plywood on top with extra weights to press them down for 24 hours.
Subfloor Insulation: Cut and install 0.5" XPS foam between the cured furring strips, sealing with foil tape.
Subfloor Final: Screw the pre-cut OSB sheets into the anchored furring strips.
Cavity Insulation: Stuff ROCKWOOL Safe 'n' Sound into wall and ceiling ribs
Electrical Panels & High Voltage Wiring: Install the AC/DC DIN Rail Breaker Boxes and busbars. Wire the power side of J1772 (inverter connection finished, awaiting testing), battery charger, and battery.
Tank Placement: Secure the 16-gallon Fresh and Grey water tanks
Mattress Mod: Cut the RV Short Queen foam mattress to fit the East-West layout
Galley Cabinetry (IKEA Hack): Assemble IKEA SEKTION cabinets, trim depth/scribe to fit van curvature, reinforce with PL Premium/L-brackets, and securely mount to the chassis using furring strips.
Partition & Door: Finished installing the front door and partition wall.
Plumbing Rough-In: Plumb the 12V pump, accumulator, sink, and mini-tank heater
Appliances: Install the induction cooktop and 12V mini-fridge
Wall Paneling (Rear): Finished closing off the walls at the rear
Wall Paneling (Main): Screw the 1/4" Birch plywood into the furring strips
Flooring: Lay down the TrafficMaster vinyl plank over the OSB subfloor
Luxury Finishes & Lighting: Install strategic ambient LED lighting and source cost-effective premium finishes to achieve a luxury aesthetic on a budget.
